Privacy
Queer Omaha is a volunteer-run, community-maintained directory. There are no accounts and no logins — this page covers everything we collect.
What we collect
- Analytics. We use PostHog to see which pages and listings get used, in cookieless mode: no cookies, no persistent device ID, and IP addresses aren't logged.
- Suggestion Box submissions. The message you type into the footer's "Suggest a place to add" form, sent via Netlify Forms.
- Contact form submissions. The email and message you send via /contact, also via Netlify Forms.
Why
To understand which categories and listings people actually use, and to receive suggestions and messages from the community.
Who we share it with
PostHog Inc. (analytics) and Netlify, Inc. (form handling and hosting) — that's it. We don't sell data or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Analytics events are kept per PostHog's standard retention. Suggestion Box and contact submissions are kept until they're reviewed and actioned.
